History

“Capitol Fire Protection was founded in 1952 by my grandfather, John Herman Poland. After returning from fighting in the Pacific theater, he settled in Philadelphia, PA and began working for Central Sprinkler Company. In 1952, he and his partner Ray Raney founded Capitol Fire Protection in Spring Lake, NJ. Shortly after, they moved the company to the Groveville Section of Trenton (pictured above). For three-quarters of a century, Capitol Fire Protection has provided reliable, quality work for customers throughout Central Jersey. Now owned by my father, Charles Parkerson, Capitol Fire Protection continues to be a small, family-owned outfit that can be relied on for quality.”
